Tim Allen serves as President of Mindspark. He was previously Chief Operating Officer, a position he held since November 2012. In his role as President, he oversees all lines of operation and financial performance for the company. His prior roles at Mindspark included oversight over new product development and product management teams for all of the company's brands, as well as leading the marketing team. His passion lies in emerging technologies, creating superior product experiences and strategic leadership.

With an extensive career at IAC spanning 13 years, he's held various positions including GM of Vimeo, VP at Ask Jeeves, and led the successful acquisition of Daily Burn by IAC. Tim was also an integral part of the transformation of IWON.com from a pure search engine to it becoming one of the most popular casual gaming sites on the Internet.

Before joining Mindspark, Tim began his career as Head of Product and Strategy at Combio, a private company that worked with financial institutions to power the company's consumer offerings and built first-of-its-kind technology for dynamic content layout and configuration by end users.

He earned an MBA from Northeastern University and a B.S. in Information Technology from the University of Massachusetts Boston.



Eric Esterlis serves as President of Mindspark. In this role, he is responsible for leading technology innovation, software development and operations across all of the company's teams.

In an IAC career spanning 13 years, Eric most recently served as Mindspark's Chief Technology Officer. He also previously served as the Senior Vice President and CTO at Interactive Search Holdings (ISH), where he lead a team of technology developers — a group he built from the ground up. While there, he was accountable for the successful development of popular websites including IWON, Excite, Myway and the creation of Fun Web Products, a portfolio of sites focused on entertainment and self expression.

Prior to his role at ISH, Eric served as First Vice President of Fixed Income Trading at Morgan Stanley. There he managed a team that developed and supported the company's trading systems. Eric started his career at IBM, where he developed software at the labs in Fishkill, NY. He earned his Masters degree in Computer Science from the Courant Institute of Mathematics at New York University and received a B.S. in applied mathematics from the Georgia Republic University.



Adam Agensky serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Mindspark. In this role, he oversees the company's legal department and is responsible for all of the company's legal affairs and associated matters, including acquisition initiatives, intellectual property issues, contract negotiations, corporate governance and compliance oversight. He initially joined IAC in August 2007, working directly for the parent company as Vice President and Associate General Counsel, and has led Mindspark's Legal Group since 2008.

Adam received his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario and his juris doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. After receiving his law degree, Adam joined the AMLaw 100 international law firm Morgan Lewis as an Associate in its IP/IT Group, following which he spent time as in house counsel and general counsel at an international pharmaceutical company and start-up consumer products firm, respectively.


Senior Vice President, Digital
Marketing at Mindspark

Jeff Paradise serves as Senior Vice President of Digital Marketing at Mindspark. In his role, he manages an enormous multi-million dollar marketing budget, as well as a team of thirty marketing and communications professionals. He drives the company's key consumer and customer marketing strategies across all Mindspark brands, and identifies growth opportunities in new market segments.

Jeff is a versatile executive, holding over sixteen years of award-winning product, e-commerce, and digital marketing experience in key roles. Prior to joining Mindspark, he served as SVP of Product Marketing & Strategy at FYI Direct Inc., where he led the strategy, development, and launch of products, social networking initiatives, and multi-channel marketing campaigns in US and international markets. Prior to his role at FYI Direct, Jeff gained extensive experience in senior leadership roles at Colorado Baggage, Paradise Pen, eNeighborhoods, and RE/MAX.

Jeff holds a B.A. from Colorado State University.



Michelle Lee serves as Vice President and General Manager at Mindspark. In her role, she has general manager responsibility and P&L ownership of the online games, virtual worlds and personal expressions divisions at Mindspark. She manages a product portfolio of over 20 of the company's brands, and works cross-functionally with finance, technology, developers, designers and product managers to ensure consistent product excellence.

Michelle has an extensive online and product strategy background. She previously served as Chief Strategy Officer & Head of Product at EdLab in the Teachers College Columbia University. Before that, she was Director of Product Management at Reed Elsevier in New York. Other experiences include roles at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Claria and Deutsche Bank. Also notably, she was a founding team member of RottenTomatoes.com.

She earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.


Senior Vice President of Technology

Christopher Phillips is Senior Vice President of Technology at Mindspark, where he oversees all consumer-oriented technology and product development. He works quickly and expertly to deliver compelling, valuable, and scalable solutions in all areas of development including mobile, desktop, web sites and services.

Chris has considerable tenure at Mindspark, having joined the company as a developer near its foundation over 12 years ago. His tenacity, passion, and expertise has led him to now oversee all technology for the B2C segment, while assisting in the company's growth and transition from a startup, to acquisition by Ask, to a major corporate entity under IAC.

Chris started his professional career as a Programmer/Analyst at Morgan Stanley developing real-time trading applications concurrent with majoring in computer science at the State University of New York at Binghamton. From there, he worked at a few small tech startups before joining what would grow to be Mindspark.


Senior Vice President, IT Operations

Ernest Wurzbach is Senior Vice President of IT Operations at Mindspark. In this role, he works directly with the executive team, product leads and stakeholders across the spectrum of IAC businesses to deliver excellence in the company's IT infrastructure. He is responsible for aligning technology initiatives with business goals, maintaining and making improvement to service delivery, standardization, and business systems performance.

Ernest is a Mindspark veteran, having been with the company since it's early beginning in 1999. Prior to joining Mindspark, he held various positions at EarthWeb, True North (FCB), and White and Case.

Ernest holds a B.A. from the City University of New York-Brooklyn College.


Vice President, Product Development

Sean Conrad serves as Vice President of Product Development at Mindspark, where he is responsible for expanding the company's product portfolio, formulating new creative strategies and bringing them to life. He is a software industry leader who combines technical experience, intuition, knowledge of the market and excellent communication skills to lead a product team that has generated millions of dollars in revenue for the company.

Prior to joining Mindspark, Sean was VP of Product Management & Engineering at Alot.com. He led a team of over 20 professionals and oversaw the technical and design aspects of an important revenue-impacting division. Before that, he held various engineering and product management roles at MIVA, FindWhat Inc., and Comet Systems, Inc.

Sean holds an M.S. in Information Sciences from The University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. from The Pennsylvania State University.


Vice President, Planning and Analytics

Mo Lam serves as Vice President of Planning and Analytics at Mindspark. As a member of the executive team, he is responsible for business planning, corporate and strategy development, and overall financial management.

Mo possesses leadership intelligence from a wide array of career experiences. Prior to joining Mindspark, he founded and successfully sold a gaming company. Before that entrepreneurial venture, he held positions in product strategy at Microsoft, along with key roles on corporate development teams at The Hearst Corporation and IAC. He began his career as an analyst at an investment bank and a private equity firm.

Mo holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. from Columbia University.

Joel Safir

Vice President and Controller

Joel Safir serves as Vice President and Controller at Mindspark. He is responsible for all accounting matters, including management of the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, preparing and analyzing financial statements, administration of corporate policies, compliance with tax requirements, and adherence to governance policies.

A seasoned finance executive, he holds over 20 years of experience building strategic finance, audit, governance and enterprise risk management structures that have improved business performance and profitability. Prior to joining Mindspark, Joel ran his own independent financial consultancy, performing various consultative projects dealing with corporate governance, Sarbanes-Oxley Act reviews and internal auditing. Before that, he was Vice President of Finance and later Chief Audit Executive at Marvel Entertainment. In addition, he's held numerous executive finance roles in the entertainment industry at companies that include BMG Entertainment, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Lebhar-Friedman. He began his career at Deloitte & Touche and is a certified public accountant.

Joel holds a B.S. from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Paul Scribano

Vice President of Finance

Paul Scribano serves as Vice President of Finance at Mindspark. In his role, he has reporting responsibility for the consolidated financial results. He manages the centralized service group's financial team, activities, allocation logic and reporting, along with report design and development while also supporting acquisition and integration activities. In addition, Paul manages the IAC Search Segment Engineering team supporting the Oracle/Hyperion financial systems.

Paul is an established contributor with over 20 years of corporate and business finance management experience. His prior responsibilities included various roles managing financial operations, startup and divestment opportunities. Prior to joining Mindspark, Paul served companies such as Comprehensive Neuroscience, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Hyperion Solutions, Arthur Andersen, Career Education Corp., Modem Media Advertising and Major League Marketing.

He holds a Master's Certificate in Hospitality Management from Cornell University and a B.S. in Finance from Sacred Heart University.

Outside of Mindspark, he is Chairman of the Board for MetroPool Inc, and supports Hartford Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and student programs at Sacred Heart University and the College of New Rochelle.


General Manager, Shopping Team

Rob Roe is General Manager of the Shopping Team at Mindspark, a group made up of the Price Finder and Coupon Alert brands. He ensures the team delivers innovative products and services that help consumers save money when they shop online.

Prior to joining IAC, Rob was General Manager of Alot.com, a consumer toolbar business that was sold to Inuvo, Inc. in 2012. Prior to Alot, Rob was a founder of NYC.com, and one of the first team members at Comet Systems, a NYC-based startup that was sold to FindWhat, Inc. Notably, he is co-inventor of US Patent #7552113 "System and method for managing search results and delivering advertising and enhanced effectiveness."

Rob is a graduate of Carleton College and attended Columbia Business School with honors, but dropped out during the first Internet boom to join a startup and never looked back.


Senior Vice President of Architecture

David Rees is Senior Vice President of Architecture at Mindspark, where he is responsible for software architecture and design for a number of programs across Mindspark. He remains at the forefront of leveraging new technologies, APIs and design patterns to identify more opportunities for the company.

An experienced Mindspark veteran, David first joined the company 13 years ago as a windows developer. In the early days of Mindspark's inaugural product, iWon, David single-handedly wrote the software for its first toolbar — iWon copilot. Prior to joining Mindspark, he was Director and Lead Developer at Ameritrade's OnMoney. Prior to that role, he was a Senior Programmer at Prodigy, Inc. In addition, he's held various positions at Google, Barclays de Zoete Wedd, Salomon Inc., Global Advanced Technology Corp., and Office of the Future, Inc.

David earned a B.S. in mathematics from Haverford College.


Senior Director, Business Development

Chris McManus serves as Senior Director of Business Development at Mindspark. In this role, he has responsibility for product licensing, investment recommendations and analysis, site advertising, and marketing new business development. He works across the company to support the various business units and helps identify and grow key initiatives.

Chris has over 15 years experience in digital media, interactive entertainment and product strategy. Before joining Mindspark, Chris worked on space systems for Lockheed Martin and was a founding team member of Space.com. Previous roles include helping to build Sony's online game service and e-commerce site.

Chris holds an MBA from New York University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University. He has completed the New York City Marathon four times.

Sara Grubel

Director of Human Resources

Sara Grubel is Director of Human Resources at Mindspark, where she provides strategic and operational support, overseeing the human resources function for the company's B2C and Shared Services. She is steward of the company's morale events and exceptional corporate culture, and maintains responsibility for rolling out all firm-wide HR initiatives.

Sara has over 12 years of experience in people management, forming specializations in employee relations, coaching, organizational development, talent management, compensation, recruitment and training. Prior to joining the internet industry, she spent the majority of her career in the financial services industry, holding various roles within HR teams at Greenwich Associates, Morgan Stanley, Christian and Timbers, Currahee Capital and Deutsche Bank.

She has earned a Master's degree in Organizational Development and Human Resource Management from Manhattanville College and a B.S. in Psychology from Plattsburgh State University.
